Grinding, machining, rebuilding, and finishing solutions for large cylindrical industrial wear components.
Grinding support for components up to 65 inches in diameter and 12 feet long, ideal for oversized industrial parts requiring accurate finishing after coating, rebuilding, or wear repair.
A cost-saving repair process for wire drawing blocks that fills only the worn drawline area and blends it into the original coating, preserving usable coating thickness.
Manufactured and rebuilt coated pump plungers finished to address concentricity concerns, supporting smoother operation and longer life in demanding fracking applications.
Wire drawing blocks are rebuilt, hardsurfaced, and finished using proven technologies that help minimize frequent changeouts and improve wear resistance.
CNC turning complements grinding and coating work by preparing or finishing wear parts, including coated components and solid tungsten carbide part designs.
Manual turning capabilities support custom industrial wear parts and large components where precision setup, practical machining judgment, and coating compatibility matter.

We begin by reviewing the part’s size, wear pattern, coating condition, and operating environment. For Houston oilfield, wire, and port-related applications, this helps identify whether grinding alone, rebuilding, or coating repair will deliver the best service life.

Founder
Eugene Walter Klein is the visionary founder of Parkway-Kew Corporation, establishing the company in 1952 after identifying an innovative solution to a pressing industrial challenge. As a welding supply salesman, Eugene was approached by a valued customer seeking help repairing worn machine parts and improving their wear resistance. Drawing on his expertise, he recommended a specialized hardfacing wear-resistant weld alloy, proved the concept by welding the first test piece in his own garage, and secured the company's landmark first order to rebuild 100 wire drawing blocks. His entrepreneurial spirit and deep technical knowledge laid the foundation for what would become the world leader in hardsurfaced wire drawing blocks and capstans, a legacy that has endured for over 70 years.

President
Eugene Edward Klein Sr. serves as President of Parkway-Kew Corporation, carrying forward the legacy established by his father, the company's founder. Under his leadership, Parkway-Kew has experienced remarkable growth, outgrowing four separate facilities before relocating to its current headquarters in North Brunswick, NJ in 1999. Eugene has been instrumental in driving the company's continuous technological innovation, from the introduction of HVOF coating for wire drawing blocks in 1989 to the development of the proprietary Restore & Grind process. A recognized industry authority, he has traveled throughout the country delivering presentations on wire drawing block maintenance, cementing the company's reputation as the world leader in precision metal coating and hardsurfacing solutions.
