Wear-Resistant Coatings
Durable ceramic, tungsten carbide, and metal alloy coatings help protect components from corrosion, abrasion, and wear while improving the working life of demanding industrial parts.
Protect critical industrial components with advanced epoxy and wear-resistant coating solutions engineered for longer service life, smoother operation, and reduced downtime. Parkway-Kew Corporation combines decades of hard surfacing expertise, precision machining, and proprietary coating technology to help wire mills, oil and gas operators, shipping terminals, and heavy equipment teams keep high-wear parts performing reliably.

Advanced coating, hard surfacing, rebuilding, and precision finishing solutions for high-wear industrial components.
Durable ceramic, tungsten carbide, and metal alloy coatings help protect components from corrosion, abrasion, and wear while improving the working life of demanding industrial parts.
HVOF technology applies dense, hard coatings at high velocity, supporting excellent wear and corrosion resistance for process parts, wire drawing blocks, and other critical components.
Plasma sprayed ceramic coatings, including chrome oxide options, support high-speed and high-slip applications where surface durability and wire quality are essential.
Metallizing provides practical hard surfacing options for large wire applications and components requiring a high-quality surface finish with reliable protective performance.
Submerged arc welding is used for cost-effective hardsurfacing and rebuilding, especially for wire drawing blocks requiring hard, durable working surfaces.
Fuse welding supports copper and aluminum wire drawing applications with lower-cost alternatives to solid ceramics, reducing breakage and slippage concerns.

We review the component, operating conditions, wear pattern, corrosion exposure, and required finish. This helps our engineering team identify whether the part needs coating, rebuilding, precision grinding, machining, or a combined approach.

Founder
Eugene Walter Klein is the visionary founder of Parkway-Kew Corporation, establishing the company in 1952 after identifying an innovative solution to a pressing industrial challenge. As a welding supply salesman, Eugene was approached by a valued customer seeking help repairing worn machine parts and improving their wear resistance. Drawing on his expertise, he recommended a specialized hardfacing wear-resistant weld alloy, proved the concept by welding the first test piece in his own garage, and secured the company's landmark first order to rebuild 100 wire drawing blocks. His entrepreneurial spirit and deep technical knowledge laid the foundation for what would become the world leader in hardsurfaced wire drawing blocks and capstans, a legacy that has endured for over 70 years.

President
Eugene Edward Klein Sr. serves as President of Parkway-Kew Corporation, carrying forward the legacy established by his father, the company's founder. Under his leadership, Parkway-Kew has experienced remarkable growth, outgrowing four separate facilities before relocating to its current headquarters in North Brunswick, NJ in 1999. Eugene has been instrumental in driving the company's continuous technological innovation, from the introduction of HVOF coating for wire drawing blocks in 1989 to the development of the proprietary Restore & Grind process. A recognized industry authority, he has traveled throughout the country delivering presentations on wire drawing block maintenance, cementing the company's reputation as the world leader in precision metal coating and hardsurfacing solutions.

Latin America Sales and Marketing Director
MBA Ing. Antonio Ayala R. serves as Latin America Sales and Marketing Director for Parkway-Kew Corporation, bringing an exceptional combination of business acumen and industry expertise to the role. As CEO of AA Enterprise, he leads Parkway-Kew's regional outreach across Latin American markets, connecting industrial clients with the company's world-class precision metal coating and wear-resistant solutions. A distinguished figure in the wire industry, Antonio previously served as President of Wire Association International (WAI, Inc.), demonstrating his deep engagement with the global wire and cable sector. His bilingual capabilities, executive leadership experience, and extensive professional network make him an invaluable asset in expanding Parkway-Kew's reach and partnerships throughout Latin America.
A coating company applies engineered surface layers to parts, tools, or equipment to improve performance. For industrial components, that can include wear resistance, corrosion protection, improved surface finish, and longer operating life. Parkway-Kew Corporation also supports coatings with machining, grinding, rebuilding, and process-specific alloy selection for demanding wire, oil and gas, shipping, and heavy equipment applications.
